Bloody orange.

This I advise you read.

They have an intense orange flavor, a few seeds, and are in season December through July.

Blood oranges have this scarlet hints because they carry anthocyanins/ They are  flavonoid pigments that are more commonly found in red and purple fruits and vegetables that can protect the human body from many diseases and are very beneficial to human health. Although anthocyanins are uncommon in citrus fruits, blood oranges are an exception.

These blood oranges are used just like the more common oranges. The moro blood orange has almost no seeds and it’s the reddest due to the anthocyanins. They are know as the anti-aging oranges.

Introduce yourself.

Hello once again, we are sooo excited to finally show you the final product of what we have been working on.

Hello my name is… from Vee Flores on Vimeo.

image.in & Veeberry Artworks once again come together, this time to create a limited accessory. The “Hello, my name is” pin. The pin is based on the classic, “Hello, My Name Is” stickers. We have some of that sense of newness everyday; we introduce ourselves to the world whenever we leave the house or log in. The “Hello, my name is” also serves as an ice breaker for situations wherein you’re around new people (a party, music show, eating out, etc.). So wearing it can help you build new friendships and give you the extra push to network.

Texting, Tumblr, Twitter, or any other digital media has simultaneously brought us together in some ways but apart in others. The “Hello, my name is” project is an initiative to encourage meeting new people, expression, as well as celebration of our creativity, similarities & differences.

The “Hello, my name is” pin will come in an extremely limited amount of four. There will be two colorways- blue and red.  The simple, yet nostalgic design will be sold for $25.00 USD each, plus shipping (unless pickup can be arranged; for Houston residents only).

The customized box, an additional blue and red sticker, and a sharpie is included with the pin!

Meastro Knows.

Maestro Knows - Special Edition (The Sylvester) from Maestro Knows on Vimeo.

Amazing! Every time I watch one of his videos is as if I was pressing the life refresh button. I appreciate Maestro more than I can express with words. So encouraging he’s like a teacher, a guide. MAESTRO. Let’s not get into the footage on Nigel Sylvester… I bet you want a bike too.

Coo-Coo for Cacao Beans.

The Mast Brothers from The Scout.

These two brothers, make chocolate, but only are they chocolate makers, they sail around the world and bring cacao beans to make only the tastiest of the treats. Watch the video to get a glimpse of the chocolatey making process.

I hope people are inspired to bring back craftsmanship that was built with genuine and dedicated labor.

Did you know cacao beans were used as currency in the past?

Get a load of that!

They began their voyage in their apartment, using a homemade machine to process cacao beans. Over time they cultivated their creation, sourcing beans from family farms in Madagascar, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador. Each bar is handmade with incredible reverence for the process and history of chocolate. They are bound in ornamental papers and golden foil like a collection of rare books. Each bar offers its own story of flavors, and no two are exactly alike

Hatian Dreams.

NATURALLY HAITI from David Belle on Vimeo.

The places with the most financial struggles are riches in culture.. Could it be because creativity makes things more bearable and people more appreciative of their natural wealth? I think so. The more materialistic people are the more concrete they surround themselves with.

This reminds me of my homeland. The artisan skills are practiced daily keeping many families fed. This clip is of Haiti a rich land that keeps those same traditions worth keeping very alive. Made in collaboration with Donna Karan and David Belle.

Our Mother Nature.

The Arctic Light from TSO Photography on Vimeo.

Filmed at the Arctic, on the archipelago Lofoten in Norway.

The Mountain from TSO Photography on Vimeo.

Filmed at  El Teide. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.

Have you ever wondered the story behind a landscape or a sunrise photograph? What the photographer did to shoot that wonderful image that we most often find as a default computer or phone backgroundthat is most often overlooked. We have been surrounded by so many high quality photographs that we are numb to how vibrant and astonishing these photographs might be. This is a short film even harder to obtain, mainly because of the duration of the still.

Take a second and soak in the beauty of our mother, don’t take it for granted it’s the richest thing we have in this planet.

If you can imagine roping down mountain cliffs, or jumping around on slippery rocks covered in seaweed with 2 tripods, a rail, a controller,
camera, lenses, filters and rigging for 4-5 hour long sequences at a time, and then
having to calculate the rise and fall of the tides in order to capture the essence - it all proved bit of a challenge.
